Bryd joins the Slack AI Launchpad to help 1,000 Singapore SMEs put AI to work

October 15, 2026

Salesforce and the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) have launched the Slack AI Launchpad Programme. It's a two-year initiative to help up to 1,000 Singapore SMEs move from AI awareness to AI that runs in their everyday work.

Bryd is one of three Salesforce partners delivering the programme's hands-on workshops, alongside May4S and Valuehub.

Minister for Digital Development and Information Josephine Teo announced the programme on 13 October 2026 at IMDA's SMEs Go Digital Day. Sign-ups are open now.

This guide covers everything you need to know: what's included, how the AI works, what happens in the workshops, how to get ready, and how to apply.

‍

The programme at a glance

Up to 1,000 Singapore SMEs. Two years. Each one gets a free 60-day Slack Business+ trial for up to 10 people and two hands-on workshops run with Salesforce partners Bryd, May4S and Valuehub. There are templates, guides and prompt libraries to work from, plus a Slack community with support from Salesforce along the way.

The goal is simple. You walk away with at least one AI-enabled workflow built for your business. Sign up on SMEs Go Digital.

‍

Why this programme exists

AI tools are easy to get. Knowing where to use them is not.

IMDA put it plainly at launch. For many SMEs, the biggest hurdle isn't access to AI. It's knowing how to apply it day to day, when lean teams have little time to explore new ways of working.

The sticking points are familiar to anyone who has tried:

  • Working out which business processes are worth automating
  • Getting the workflows and data behind them ready
  • Turning that into AI-enabled workflows that hold up in daily operations

Salesforce's Country General Manager for Singapore, Vernon Cheo, framed the opportunity. SMEs are the backbone of Singapore's economy, and agentic AI can help small teams deliver the fast, personalised service that used to take a much bigger company.

The Launchpad closes that gap by pairing the tools with structured, hands-on guidance. The goal is implementation, not more experimenting.

‍

What's included

  • Complimentary Slack Business+ trial. 60 days, for up to 10 users per SME. Enough time to build something, use it, and refine it.
  • Two hands-on workshops. Delivered with Salesforce partners Bryd, May4S and Valuehub, and focused on your business, not generic examples.
  • Ready-to-use resources. Templates, guides and AI prompt libraries, so nobody starts from a blank page.
  • Community and support. A dedicated Slack community to connect with other participants, with ongoing support from Salesforce during the trial.

‍

Meet Slackbot, your AI teammate

Every user on the trial gets Slackbot, a personal AI teammate built directly into Slack.

What makes it useful is context. Slackbot understands how your business works through the conversations, decisions and data that already live in Slack. It works from your channels, not from a generic idea of how a business runs.

Slackbot can help your team:

  • Find answers buried in past conversations
  • Organise work
  • Create content
  • Schedule meetings
  • Take action

All without leaving Slack.

Slackbot Skills: build it once, use it every day

Most teams repeat the same tasks every week. Without structure, every person writes their own prompt for them, and every result comes out a little different.

Slackbot Skills fix that. A team turns a recurring task into a simple shortcut, and anyone on the team can run it instantly. One person sets it up. Everyone saves time.

‍

What a first workflow could look like

The best first workflow is usually the most boring one. A few examples of the kind of work that fits:

  • The weekly round-up. Someone spends an hour each Monday pulling together where orders, jobs or enquiries stand. A Skill drafts it from the channels where that work already happens.
  • The repeat question. New starters ask the same questions every time. Slackbot answers from what the team has already written down.
  • The enquiry reply. A customer question lands. Slackbot drafts a response, a person checks it, and it goes out faster.

None of these are big projects. All of them give hours back every week.

‍

What happens in the workshops

The two workshops take you from the basics to a working workflow in your business.

  1. Learn the fundamentals. Get your team comfortable in Slack before anything is automated.
  2. Pick the right process. Work through your business to find a process that suits automation.
  3. Build it. Leave with at least one AI-enabled workflow running in your business.

In our sessions, we work on your real processes from the start. The aim is something your team uses on a normal working day, not a demo. With 60 days of trial time, you also get room to live with it, tweak it, and find your second workflow.

‍

How to get ready

A little preparation makes the workshops far more useful.

  • Pick your 10. The trial covers up to 10 users. Choose the people who feel the admin load most, not only the most senior.
  • List three candidates. Write down three tasks that eat time every week. We'll help you choose where to start in the workshop.
  • Name an owner. One person who will see the workflow through after the workshops end.

‍

Who should apply

The programme is open to Singapore SMEs. It's a strong fit if your team:

  • Is curious about AI but hasn't turned it into daily practice yet
  • Runs lean, with little spare time to experiment
  • Already uses Slack, or wants one place for conversations, work and AI

Check the programme page on SMEs Go Digital for the full eligibility criteria.

‍

How to sign up

Registration opened on 13 October 2026 on IMDA's SMEs Go Digital platform. The programme page also carries the latest details. Places are limited to 1,000 SMEs.

Part of Singapore's national AI push

The Launchpad supports two national initiatives:

  • The National AI Impact Programme. Announced at the Committee of Supply Debates 2026, it aims to help 10,000 enterprises advance their AI adoption over three years.
  • The Digital Enterprise Blueprint. Singapore's wider plan for helping enterprises digitalise.

It also builds on earlier work. Over the past two years, Salesforce ran the Data + AI Boost SME Programme with IMDA, helping more than 6,500 SMEs at every stage of digital maturity make better use of data and AI.

For teams that want to go further, Salesforce also offers solutions built for smaller businesses. Salesforce Suites is a CRM for small businesses and startups with AI built in. Slack CRM brings lightweight customer relationship management into Slack itself.

Why Bryd

We spend every day building AI into Slack and Salesforce, and Singapore is where we started. The approach works at any size: find the work that repeats, build it where your team already works, and make sure people use it.
